Still Sick

18 September 2008 at 6:58 pm (Just Because, My Older Son, My family, Raising Children, rant) (, , , , )

My older son is still sick and that nose bleed I mentioned in my last post was just the beginning of a bad night.  At about 3am him woke to intense coughing and throwing up.  He threw up some food, but it was mostly mucus and some blood.  That went on for about 45 mins, in 10 min intervals.  Then last night he had a fever of 101.1.  I can’t take any time off from work and I know he is not contagious, so I’ve been sending him to daycare – besides it gets him out of the moldy house.  In the end I think that is better for him.  He has been doing his breathing treatments and taking his singulair.  Yup, you guessed it, the doctor appointment is next week.  I will on see one person and he was out this week at a conference.  I hate waiting, but I know what we needed to do to help him.  He seems a little better today.  So we are still waiting to hear from the insurance company and plan on suing the builder with a dozen other homeowners in our neighborhood all with leaky homes.  Some of them have begun repairs and they are costing in upwards of $18,000.00!!!  WOW!!!!  Not sure what ours will end up costing.  Anyways we’ll keep you up to date.  Also keeping in theme of my “Calling Him Out” blog…Palmer Homes is our shitty builder.  Yeah Rodney Palmer thanks a lot for a home we can’t give a way right now!

Surely. for the sake of your child, you can see another doctor that does not make you wait a week. He is your child afterall.

Yes he is still sick. We go to the doc on Thursday. We done everything we can for him, it’s just going to take time for him to heal and we need to get the damn mold out of our house. The insurance company just approved our claim so we have to go get a contractor to fix the water damage and start the repairs. We have gotten a unit for the ac to kill all the mold spores as the air is circulated through out our house, so every bit is helping.

To be confirmed…that would be the best thing to do, you’re right, but we have had a doctor misdiagnose him before when he was sick like this. This doctor is unbelievable great with him. He has this extra thing about him that is just awesome. He helped him get better with in days last time he was sick. What he had us do then is exactly what we have been doing now.
