A mommy, wife and friend…a survior of child sexual abuse

Since I’ve been back to work there have been lots of changes.  All of one type. ~ LAYOFFS ~ As if the economy wasn’t bad enough, my company has just added several people in to the ever rising unemployment.  Just this past week TWO people were let go.  One was on Friday, and in MY department.  Everyone in my department had left already except myself and “L”.  When our surpervisor requested her to join him in his office.  Then I hear the door shut.  I thought to myself that can’t be good.  Yet I only thought she was getting in trouble for something.  So when she came out he asked me to his office and told me that they just had to lay her off.  Now mind you “L” was not much a team player and is very difficult to work with, however it is never easy to hear someone is getting laid off.  Then my supervisor says to me that he knows everyone has been walking around on egg shells since there was a lay off the day before and two additional in just the past month or so.  He then reassures me that there will be no more lay offs in my department.  To be honest, I would not be too upset if I was laid off.  I would enjoy the time at home with my boys for as long as I could.
