A mommy, wife and friend…a survior of child sexual abuse

After last Friday that is something.  The evening started out as normal, until about 7pm when I started to notice contractions.  Contractions like every 4 -5 minutes.  Hubby came home after about an hour with dinner and I showed him where I had written down all the times of each contraction.  His first thought, so off to the hospital?  I was like, I guess, but I want to eat first.  So after eating and some additional time, yeah its about 9:30-ish now, the contractions were still coming 4 – 5 mins apart.  Ok, we can go to the hospital now.  We got to the hospital about 10pm ish, made the few phone calls on the way to the parents, the best friend and my cousin.  Only had to wait in Triage for about 20 mins, not bad considering last time (with my son, 3 HOURS-while having contractions and my water had broken – that’s another story).  So, they monitored me for about 30 mins and took a test or two…RESULTS.  Yeah, you are having regular contractions, baby is fine, however the contractions are only lasting 40 secs, you are just dehydrated.  Here’s a muscle relaxer to stop the contractions and drink drink drink more water. WTF!  I wanted to have this baby SO BAD!  I’m so ready, you just do not know.  Ok, because I had not dilated or my water broken there was no need to have the baby, I know that, but that doesn’t make it any easier to have to go home, STILL PREGNANT.  I knew before we left the house for the hospital that I would be back home that night, I just knew it.  Only went to make sure all was ok with baby, as with my son he went into fetal distress with every contraction.   So, only a week left until the scheduled c-section, this will be a very long week.  I know I will not go early now.  Pre-op is tomorrow with my doctor and Wednesday with the hospital.  We’re in the back stretch here, I can see the finish line.
